I’m a 40 something software engineer. OK, in reality I’m looking 50 right in the eye. I picked up photography over 20 years ago and did a lot of it for many years. Over time, other priorities took over and I neglected it. I recently decided to go back to it and concentrate on monochrome.

Eyes on the sea
This is a sculpture installation in Aberdeen on the dune overlooking the sea. I don’t know if it’s still there, it was taken many years ago. Insch train station

Down the corridor
I looked at that corridor for a while before deciding what angle to use. I wanted to see some wood detail, but also I wanted the feeling of a tunnel. So I decided to have the exit slightly off centre and expose for the outside to make everything in the tunnel very dark. Again pushing …
